The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women marks the start of the UN’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, running until Human Rights Day on 10 December.

Across the UK and worldwide, too many women face abuse, intimidation and control, in private spaces, workplaces and online. Violence against women is a breach of human rights and a barrier to equality.

At BHCA, we support efforts to challenge the roots of gender-based violence attitudes, systems and silences that allow abuse to continue. We work with partners to make reporting safe and accessible, and to build a culture where women are heard and supported.

Ending violence against women isn’t just about awareness, it’s about action. Listen. Believe. Support. Challenge behaviours that normalise harm.

🧡 Every woman deserves safety, respect and peace of mind.
