Since transitioning at the age of 58, Joanne has worked tirelessly to support the Transgender community and other monorities, advocating for people to live without hatred and discrimination.
In 2021, she was awarded the OBE by her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her services to Transgender equality as a global LGBT advocate and independent advisor. She now shares her story across the globe.
